Access from Forest Road 188 via foot, mountain bike or 4WD only. Scenic pocket-water fishing for brook trout.
B. Alma State Wildlife Area
Access along County Road 4 between Montgomery Reservoir & Alma. Stream channel is small and brushy occupied by resident brown trout.
C. Beaver Creek
Access along Beaver Creek Road (County Road 659) two miles above Fairplay. Small, brushy stream and beaver pond fishing for brook trout.
D. Fairplay Beach Recreation Area
South of Fairplay and US 285 on Platte Drive. Stocked rainbow and cutthroat trout, larger resident fish in the revervoir and river and brown trout in late summer through fall.
E. Upper Fourmile Creek
Five miles west of US 285 on Fourmile Creek Road (County Road 18). Brown and brook trout fishing in stream and beaver ponds.
F. Tomahawk Ranch State Wildlife Area
Access from State HWY 9 Southeast of Fairplay. Gold Medal Waters*
G. Badger Basin State Wildlife Area
North of Hartsel, access from County Road 439. Gold Medal Waters*
H.Weston Pass
Access from County Road 22 on the South Fork of the South Platte River northwest of Antero Reservoir. Brook trout fishing in creek and beaver ponds.
I. Rough & Tumbling Creek
Hiking access from County Road 22 from the north and from Forest Road 431 from the south. Brook and brown trout fishing.
J. Knight-Imler State Wildlife Area
Access from US 285 14 miles south of Fairplay. Brown trout fishing in slow, meandering stream.
K. Lower Fourmile Creek
Access from State HWY 9 near Hartsel. Small stream fishing for brown trout.
L. Badger Basin State Wildlife Area - SW
Access from US 24 west of Hartsel. Brown and rainbow trout fishing.
M. Upper Spinney Mountain Ranch State Wildlife Area
Access points along County Road 59 above Spinney Mountain Reservoir. Brown and cutthroat trout, Gold Medal Waters*
N. Lower Spinney Mountain Ranch State Wildlife Area
Access from County Road 59. Large brown, rainbow & cutthroat trout. Known locally as the "Dream Stream," Gold Medal Waters*
O. Elevenmile Canyon
Access from County Road 96, south of Lake George. Large brown and rainbow trout, catch and release along upper 2 miles of the canyon. Daily Access Fee - $5.00 per car.
P. Jefferson & West Jefferson Creeks
Access from County Road 37 northwest of Jefferson. Small stream and beaver ponds produce numerous brook trout.
Q. Michigan Creek
Access from County Road 54 northwest of Jefferson. Brown and brook trout fishing.
R. North Fork of Tarryall Creek
Access from County Road 33 to Forest Road 801. Brook trout in small stream and beaver ponds.
S. Teter-Michigan Creek State Wildlife Area
Access from County Road 35. Small stream, channels and pools contain brown trout.
T. Taryall State Wildlife Area
One mile of public fishing access from County Road 77 above Taryall Reservoir. Resident brown and stocked rainbow trout.
U. Taryall Reservoir Spillway
200 yards of public access along County Road 77 below Taryall Reservoir. Resident brown and stocked rainbow trout.
V. Ute Trail Parking Area
Public fishing access for a short distance up and down stream from the footbridge. Wild brown and stocked rainbow trout.
W. Twin Eagles Trailhead
1/3 mile of fishing access along County Road 77. Resident brown and stocked rainbow trout.
