Rampart Range Motorized Recreation Area: This popular motorized recreation area, accessed off of Highway 67 between Cascade and Woodland Park, is a popular recreation site for a wide variety of recreational uses, especially off-highway vehicle enthusiasts and visitors to the popular Devil's Head Lookout Tower. The area is accessed by the Rampart Range Road, a dirt road that serves as a central spine for approximately one hundred miles of motorized trails. Rampart Range Road runs from Highway 67 on the north to Garden of the Gods on the south. Noddle Motorized Trail #677: This trail is scenic, beginner/Intermediate, and the longest in the Rampart Range Motorized Recreation Area. The Noodle Trail also has the most varied terrain of any in this trail system. This trail may be accessed from Highway 67 2.5 miles south of Sprucewood or 1.5 miles west of Oxyoke. It may also be accessed from the Rampart Range Road .25 miles south of Topaz Point Picnic Ground. Tomahawk Motorized Trail #685: This trail leads north from Rim Road, Forest Service Road 507, 3.2 miles to intersect with Trail #686. This trail gets a moderate amount of use and is rated at a Beginner ability level. Schubarth Road: A fun backcountry getaway close to Woodland Park. F.S. 311 ends at an overlook of front range. The first part of road crosses private land including a U.S. Air Force installation. Warning signs apply to land on each side of road, not the road itself. Travel only on marked Forest Service roads. Keep moving until you cross Pike National Forest boundary at 2.4 miles. Lone Duck Campground, Cabins & Fishing Pond - Hidden in beautiful mountain valley near Pikes Peak, away from city lights, by a stream. Scenic mountain views at every site. High speed Wi-Fi.
