Mountain Lakes Lodge & North Shore Resort
toll-free 877-627-3220Mountain Lakes Lodge
Mountain Lakes Lodge is Family owned and operated. Mountain Lakes Lodge is the ideal home base for all your outdoor activities in the Colorado Rockies. The Lodge is centrally located in the "three lakes area" along the waterway between Shadow Mountain and Lake Granby. Grand Lake Village offers many interesting shops, restaurants and entertainment. Rocky Mountain National Park, Arapaho National Forest, and the Never Summer Wilderness Area are within minutes of the lodge. A short drive for you to soak at nearby Hot Sulphur Springs. Leaf color watching and listening to the echo of elk bulging is a must in the fall. One of the best trout fishing waters is out your back door. Fishing rod rental and tackle are available. Since the waterway by our property never freezes, you can catch the Big One and the football game at the same time! Fishing that will fit every angler's desires are only a short drive. We will point you to the hot spots! A favorite pastime in the evenings is to relax around the bonfire with friends, or enjoy an outdoor barbecue, a quiet walk, or a game of horseshoes. Dogs are Welcome! Dogs are family too, so, bring them along. There is plenty of room to run and you will enjoy the little fenced yard out your back door. The lodge consists of ten rustic log cabins, with vaulted log ceilings, and a "Little Log House." Built in the 1950's these log cabins are connected in two buildings each with its private entrance. Each cabin is uniquely decorated with modern conveniences and old fashioned rustic charm. Most furnishings are original and handmade of aspen or pine from the Colorado Rockies. Medium and large cabins have a gas log fireplace with French doors leading to a deck with beautiful views of the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area and Rocky Mountain National Park. All cabins have a bathroom with a shower, fully equipped cooking facilities, and dish satellite television. Kitchenettes include a toaster, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, and a stove with an oven or two burner cook top in the small cabins. Dinnerware, cooking utensils, pots and pans, and an iron frying pan, just like Grandma used to have, are in each cabin. We do not provide daily cleaning service in these unique little housekeeping cabins. We supply all bedding, linens and basic cleaning supplies, such as dish soap, soft-soap and cleanser. Bring your favorite bar soaps and shampoos. Charcoal barbecues are outside each cabin. No phones to disturb your quiet, but a phone is available in our office. During the summer, enjoy a game of horseshoes or volleyball in our backyard, grill your dinner outside or cook it in our units with full kitchens. Don't forget to bring the marshmallows for the campfire. After a long and wonderful day spent in the mountains, come and snuggle into one of our new beds in a knotty pine bedroom. Bring your fishing pole and the experts at Beacon Landing Marina next door will sell you a fishing license, rent you a pontoon boat or take you on a guided fishing tour via boat or snowmobile on a lake with 40 miles of shoreline and an abundance of mackinaw, rainbow and brown trout. Come and experience the local's favorite season, autumn, where the aspens are shimmering gold, the waters are blue, and the elk are bugling. Hunters can walk from our lodge into the forest to hunt deer, elk, moose or bear in unit 18, with easy access to unit 28. We'll help you with hanging, processing and taxidermy. In winter months we offer the best ice fishing in Colorado! Guests can snowmobile, cross-country ski and snowshoe from our door or just relax and enjoy the snow.
