Hunt in San Juan National Forest for bear, deer, elk and bighorn sheep. Wolf Creek Ski Area is a high alpine resort, 10,300 feet at the base and 11,900 feet at the summit, with 7 lifts to serve an incredibly beautiful terrain of 1,600 acres. 17 miles west of Pagosa Springs is Chimney Rock Archaeological Site once home to an Ancestral Puebloan Indian Village overlooking the Piedra River.
