To/from Estes Park, you can tour the Peak-to-Peak Scenic Byway or drive through the scenic Big Thompson Canyon to Loveland. Loveland has become famous for its numerous, nationally renown sculptors whose work can be seen at Benson Park. The town was named for William Austin Hamilton Loveland, the man responsible for bringing the Colorado Central Railroad's line from Cheyenne, Wyoming, through here on its way to Denver.

In the early 1900s, Colorado was the leading sugar beet producing state in the country and Loveland became the sight of the first sugar mill in eastern Colorado. Nearby Carter Lake offers 100 acres of fishing and water sports. The new 38-store factory outlet mall is just west of the junction of U.S. 34 and I-25. Enjoy the easy pace in Loveland, where life moves a little slower in this "Sweetheart City."
