Get out of the heat -- come up to the cool!

At 10,000 feet above sea level, the Cripple Creek KOA is the highest KOA in the world. There are glorious sunsets with quiet, restful nights and fabulous star gazing. We have a Colorado high country setting, a peaceful mountain location bordering BLM forest land.

At the Kampground our RV sites are spacious pull-thrus with open million dollar views. Some RV sites have telephone service. Tenters may choose a wilderness site in the aspen trees or a deluxe site with a ramada cover, electricity and water. We have ten Kamping Kabins. All of our sites have firepits.

We provide breakfast service on holiday weekends. There is a Kamping kitchen for use by our guests. Evening meal service is available for groups upon request. We have a game room, banana bikes (for kids and adults), and a hot tub. We have a shuttle service to Cripple Creek that operates from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

The area is full of things to do: Gold Mines, a melodrama, steam train ride, Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument, Museums, horseback riding, and casinos. It is always fun to look for the donkeys that have roamed here for years. You can also hiking to Trachyte Knob from the Kampground.

Children 6 years and younger are free and pets are welcome.

Located near the junction of Highway 67 and Teller 81, at 2576 County Road 81, Cripple Creek Colorado 80813; 719-799-6805; Reservations: 800-562-9125.
