- 10 Dandelion Day & Flea Market - All Day Event - Sopris Park - The day starts with a Parade of the Species with children, young and old, dressed as the Town Flower (the Dandelion). Dandelion Wine is often available, Dandy salads are on the menu, etc. Galleries are open on Saturday. Sculpture on the streets. - 17 Cajun Clay Night - 5 PM - Carbondale Clay Center - The Carbondale Clay Center's annual fundraiser, Cajun Clay Night, is hugely popular, with people lining up at the door to claim first dibs on a cup, to be filled with gumbo.
